ChargePoint, Wallbox, and JuiceBox are the three most-purchased Level 2 home EV chargers. All three are quality products — but they make different tradeoffs. Here's the breakdown to help you choose.

- ChargePoint Home Flex: 16–50A adjustable, Wi-Fi, 25ft cord, ENERGY STAR, ~$699. Check price.
- Wallbox Pulsar Plus: 40A, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth, most compact, power sharing, ~$649. Check price.
- JuiceBox 40: 40A, Wi-Fi, energy monitoring, TOU scheduling, Alexa, ~$549. Check price.
ChargePoint Home Flex
Best for: Anyone who wants adjustable amperage and the most future-proof charger. The 50A ceiling is the highest of any plug-in Level 2 charger — delivering up to 37 miles of range per hour on vehicles that support it. The ChargePoint app is excellent and the network integration means your home charging works seamlessly with ChargePoint's public charging network.
Drawbacks: Most expensive of the three. The adjustability is only useful if you have a dedicated 60A circuit — most homes max out at 40A for an EV circuit.
Wallbox Pulsar Plus
Best for: Small garages and minimalist installations. The Pulsar Plus is significantly smaller than competitors — about the size of a small book. Power sharing feature lets two Wallbox units share a single circuit, useful for two-EV households. The MyWallbox app is well-designed.
Drawbacks: 40A ceiling (not adjustable like ChargePoint). Occasional app connectivity issues reported. Bluetooth dependency for initial setup is awkward.
JuiceBox 40
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers who want smart features. JuiceBox includes time-of-use scheduling, energy monitoring, and Amazon Alexa integration at the lowest price of the three. The EnelX JuiceNet app is functional though less polished than ChargePoint's.
Drawbacks: EnelX has had some service reliability concerns. App and cloud connectivity have been inconsistent for some users. If rock-solid reliability matters most, ChargePoint or Wallbox are safer bets.
Which should you buy?
- Most people: ChargePoint Home Flex — best app, most adjustable, largest company
- Small garage or two-EV household: Wallbox Pulsar Plus
- Budget priority: JuiceBox 40 — save $100–$150 vs. ChargePoint
- Tesla owners: Tesla Wall Connector at ~$475 is the native choice
Remember: the federal 30C tax credit covers 30% of equipment + installation costs up to $1,000 through 2032. That effectively reduces your net cost on all three options by $150–$200+.
